What is maybird series?

The Maybird series is a young adult mystery fantasy series written by Jodi Lynn Anderson. It follows the adventures of a young girl named Maybird (real name Maddy Holleran) who is plagued by anxiety and fear in the real world. However, when she enters the woods behind her house, she discovers a magical world called the Ever After.
